What skills and experience we're looking for

Thank you for your interest in joining us at Hands-on Education. We are looking for innovative and highly motivated people to join us in creating lesson plans and resources for teachers and home educators.

Our aim is to support educators in taking a hands-on and kinaesthetic approach to learning. We believe that experiential learning is valuable to create a deeper understanding of a subject matter. Hands-On Education are looking for people who can ‘think outside the box’ and help us continue to create exciting and engaging activities for young learners.

Essential skills:

  • You must have excellent knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum in England within Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Experience in writing lesson plans and creating resources.
  • Self-motivated to work from home and choose your own hours.
  • Have a creative outlook on teaching and learning.

Useful skills:

  • Teaching experience within primary education.
  • Familiarity with graphic design programme Canva.

We can offer you:

  • Ongoing support in creating a unit of work and ideas.
  • Choose your own area of interest to work in.

Interview task:

Once we have received your application, we will contact you to arrange an informal interview via zoom. If you are interested in joining our team will invite you to put together a few ideas within your area of interest and write one example lesson plan to ensure we are like minded in our vision for creative and practical learning.

After this we will discuss a contract with a specific number of lesson plans and supporting resources.
