How do I use this activity?

This activity is a great way for children to learn about the structure of plants and observe their growth. By planting a seed and drawing what they see as it grows, children will be able to identify the different parts of a plant. This activity is aligned with the Art and Science aspects of the National Curriculum of England. There are three different plant-related topics offered - Plants Around Us, How Plants Grow and Seeds and Lifecycles. Each topic comes with various activities that meet curriculum standards for your classroom or home.

In addition to plant-related topics, Hands-On Education offers resources for teaching children about My Healthy Body, Flying Machines and Weather. These resources include videos, activity sheets and activity plans that cover most points of the national curriculum for Year 2.

To access these resources, create a free account on the website. This will give you access to exclusive educational material that can support children in their learning journey.
