How do I use this activity?

This activity is designed for children to learn about common flowers, plants and trees by identifying them in their natural environments such as parks, forests, and gardens. The activity sheets can be used as a checklist to help identify what they see. The resources provided cover the Art and Science aspects of the National Curriculum of England. There are three different plant-related topics available: Plants Around Us, How Plants Grow, and Seeds and Lifecycles.

All of these topics offer great curriculum standard activities for both classroom and home educated children. In addition, Hands-On Education provides resources that cover most points of the national curriculum for Year 2. These resources can be used to teach children about my healthy body, flying machines, or the weather. You will find plenty of videos, activity sheets, and easy-to-use activity plans to support children in their learning journey.
