Exploring Materials

Create A Sculpture Using Recycled Materials

In this activity your child will use their imagination to design and create their own sculptures. They will choose materials based on their properties and use them creatively to share their ideas.

Throughout our 6 Exploring Materials topics your child will identify and classify different materials, discover the ‘odd’ object and go on a treasure hunt. Play with water and ice and create a sculpture from recycling. This topic contains 6 activities with accompanying activity sheets. In addition, it covers the following key aspects of the National Curriculum in England: Art and Science.
